10.5. Dismantling and assembly of power shafts

Components of assembly of the right power shaft are specified illustrations below. On left driving the shaft does not have a damper of krutilny fluctuations.

Dismantling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove bandage tapes.
  2. Clamp a shaft in a vice with sponges from soft metal and remove a lock ring and the case of the internal CV JOINT.
  1. Put with label paint on a shaft and the tripodny hinge.
  1. Remove a lock ring and remove the tripodny hinge from a power shaft.
  2. Remove from a shaft a boot.
  3. Remove bandage tapes and shift a boot from the external CV JOINT.
  4. Remove the CV JOINT (see point 9) and clear a hinge holder paper napkins of old greasing. Check a condition of the hinge and if necessary replace it.
  5. Remove from a power shaft a boot and a lock ring
  6. If necessary remove from the right power shaft a damper of krutilny fluctuations, previously having removed its collars.

Assembly

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. For shaft assembly from a wheel act according to paragraphs with 13 on 20.
  2. Wind a shlitsevy part of a shaft from transmission by a tape not to damage a boot at its installation. Establish on a shaft a new boot and new bandage tapes of a boot.
  3. Clean a protective tape and establish on a power shaft a tripodny garnish, having combined the labels put at removal.
  4. Fix a tripodny garnish a new lock ring.
  5. Fill a tripodny garnish greasing and establish on it a casing.
  6. Fill in a casing of 115 ± 5 g of greasing.
  1. Reliably establish a boot in flutes (* on an illustration), previously having removed greasing from the surfaces noted by a sign *.
  1. Make sure that the length of a boot (L) makes 96.5 ± 1 mm. Unbend a screw-driver edge (from bigger diameter) a boot and let out from it air to prevent boot deformation.
  1. Fix a boot of the internal CV JOINT new bandage tapes according to an illustration.

Turning the CV JOINT, make sure that the provision of a boot does not change. Otherwise establish a new boot.


  1. If the damper of krutilny fluctuations acted in film, establish it according to an illustration.
